1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account Information: When you register or log in, we collect your username, email address, and hashed password.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage Data (Non-Content): We track anonymous metrics like total turns taken, total passages analyzed, and completed Socratic sessions. For guest users, this is associated with a unique, non-identifiable session ID stored in your browser's local storage. For logged-in users, it's associated with your account.
• Question Ratings: If you choose to rate Flaime's questions, we store the rating (e.g., "Painful" to "Easy"), the question text, and the turn number, linked to your session or user ID. This helps us improve Flaime's coaching.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the GuardedForge service (e.g., allow you to log in, track your progress).
• To personalize your experience and improve Flaime's coaching based on your feedback.
• To analyze and understand user engagement and app performance (using aggregated, anonymous data where possible).
• To ensure the security and integrity of our service.

3. How We Handle Your Creative Content (Passages & Conversation)

Your creative content is central to your craft, and we treat it with the utmost respect and privacy.

• No Persistent Storage: When you submit a passage or engage in a conversation with Flaime, your text is processed in our server's temporary memory (RAM) only for the duration of that specific interaction. We do NOT store your passages or conversation history on our servers' hard drives or databases.
• AI Model Interaction: Your passage and conversation context are sent securely (via HTTPS) to Google's Gemini API. According to Google's policies for the Generative Language API, **your content is NOT used to train Google's foundational models.**
• Discarded After Use: Immediately after Flaime generates a response, your passage and conversation context are cleared from our server's temporary memory. No trace of your creative work remains on our server.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information or creative content to outside parties. We may share aggregated, anonymized usage data (which cannot identify you personally) for analytical purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement security measures designed to protect your information, including hashing passwords and using HTTPS for all data transmission. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Account Information: You can update your account information by contacting us.
• Data Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated non-content usage data by contacting us.
